Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim believes that the Men in Green should make one change for the crucial ICC World Cup 2023 clash against England on Saturday, November 11, in Kolkata.
While speaking on Haarna Mana Hay, Imad said that Pakistan should included a spinner in their side for the must-win match against England.
“I think Pakistan should play a regular spinner be it Shadab [Khan], Abrar [Ahmed] or Usama [Mir]. I think we are a spinner short but the rest of the team should stay the same,” said Imad.
It must be noted that Pakistan, with eight points from as many games, need to win against England, while also hoping other results go their way, in order to stay alive in the race for the semi-finals of the World Cup.
Pakistan have recorded back-to-back wins over Bangladesh and New Zealand to get their campaign back on track with Zaman returning from a knee injury to hit 81 and then a blistering 81-ball 126 not out against the Kiwis.
If Pakistan do qualify they will likely set up a mouth-watering clash with arch-rivals India in Kolkata on November 16 for a place in the final.
India, South Africa and Australia have already qualified for the last four of the World Cup.
